Freezing Tips
I had an interesting experience a few years ago; I spent a fair amount of time making two pounds of bacon. We don’t eat it every day but like to add flavor to a recipe. So I made the bacon, let it cool and put it in a gallon freezer bag. A few days later I wanted a couple of pieces for an omelet, I pulled the bag out of the freezer and found I had a two pound ball of bacon. It was next to impossible to separate.
The lesson I learned from this was to freeze individually and then package them all together. This is true of many things like blueberries, diced peppers, and meatballs. I now use parchment paper under most items that I freeze this way.
I realize this may seem tedious to some people, it works for us. Thanks.
